About WheelTribe

WheelTribe is a movement dedicated to travel for everyone.

We source the most accessible accommodation, transport options, leisure activities, and adaptive sports across Europe—and compile them into practical, honest guides to help you plan your next holiday with ease and confidence.

But we're not just about logistics. We're also deeply committed to the places we feature and the people who live there. We actively avoid fuelling over-tourism, and we believe that meaningful travel comes from real encounters—between locals and travellers, with and without disabilities. That's why we prioritise and promote disability-led businesses, cooperatives, and inclusive tourism operators that employ persons with disabilities.

Our Values

  1. Accessible and Sustainable

    We believe inclusive travel should respect not only people, but also places. That means spotlighting destinations that are both accessible and environmentally conscious. We avoid promoting mass tourism hotspots and instead support local, small-scale, and disability-led businesses that make a positive impact in their communities.

  2. Nothing About Us Without Us

    WheelTribe is co-created with the people it represents. We centre the voices, stories, and leadership of disabled travellers, and we learn from their lived expertise.

  3. Radical Practicality

    We share only tested and verified information and use images so that you can decide if an accommodation or an experience is right for you. We get into the details, or share useful links and contacts if you want to learn more or ask questions.

  4. Joyful Community

    Access is serious business, but travel should be fun. We celebrate shared meals, sea dips, mountain paths, and spontaneous laughs—because access to joy matters too.

    Founder

    An experienced communications professional, working for many years for various associations, Eleonora specialised in accessibility for cultural institutions in Italy, and in accessible tourism while living in Brussels.

    Co-founder

    Marco is an entrepreneur and investor with a wide portfolio of start-ups and scale-ups. He is also supporting Easyreading, an Italian company that produces a high-readability free font for people with dyslexia.
